OUTCOMES

• Sixty participants (30 community leaders and 30 students) engaged and participated in all workshops and plastic management collaborative planning.

• A giant story book was created with students and a local artist with visual representations of solutions that can be implemented in their communities.

• Leaders and students are now more willing to implement plastic waste management systems to protect the lake.

• By the end of the project, more than 50% of community participants acknowledge a significant increase in their knowledge in effective plastic management and best practices, as well as, behavior change in plastic waste management.
